Where it came from — Earl Fuller's Famous Jazz Band (1917). Earl Fuller's Famous Jazz Band was one of the very first jazz bands to record. They were Victor's replacements for the Original Dixieland Jazz band, who had defected to Columbia. "Slippery Hank" was recorded on June 4, 1917.
